Savard Gets Spin-o-rama From Blackhawks

What in the world happened with Denis Savard and the Blackhawks. A guy who is a legend in Blackhawk history finally gets a team of bright young talented guys and gets fired without really having a chance to nurture them. I'd love to have been a 'fly on the wall' to hear what really led to this. I just don't see the logic of firing a guy 4 games into the season. There has to be some underlying motive here, and I wonder if the ground work had been laid when the Hawks hired Joel Quenneville earlier this year. I heard some of the press conference and it was the typical "satisfy the media" answers to the obvious questions. Anybody out there have any ideas on what might have got "Savvy" the ax?

He got fired for not going along with the William Wirtz day on opening night. All players had to pay there own plane fare home. Additionally there was supposed to be a 20% markup on tickets and parking that night.
